| As part of Auto-Details paint correction service we offer a technique called wet sanding. This service can help reduce the image of scratches, poor respray (dry or orange peel) finishes and etching from bird droppings on car paintwork. Sometimes we can completely remove scratches and etching with this method, other times we can only improve it, it all depends on how deep the damage is into the paintworks clearcoat of lacquer.
This kind of work requires skill, confidence and experience and is only undertaken with the customers consent as it is a sometimes risky process, but the results is often outweigh the risk, keeping the cars original factory paintwork over a respray and the associated problems including overspray and colour mis-match.
